Police have seized more than 1,000 cannabis plants with an estimated value of £500,000 in a raid in Nottingham.

Officers said it was one of the largest commercial cannabis factories they had ever raided in the city.

A woman, who was found hiding in a cupboard in the building by a police dog, was arrested along with a man.

The industrial unit in Basford, which was boarded up, contained surveillance equipment and cannabis-growing equipment.

Living quarters with mattresses were also discovered in the industrial unit.
